Laura Grace's Summer Garden

I'm still on a high from the house party. What a ride it was! Not only did I get to know Tom Chandler, I got to experiment with a young Laura Grace. The two are made for each other. ; )

Since I've written so much in the last week, I thought I'd give you a glimpse into Laura Grace's summer garden. All of these just finished blooming, are blooming now, or will be shortly. I've also added a bit of shade for the hot summer days.  Enjoy! ; )

    1. Thanks. I love lilies. Stick their bulbs in the ground and with a little water and fertilizer, they are show stoppers year after year. ; )

  2. You have a lovely garden! Mine is more of a wilderness, crossed with victory garden. I'll post pics on facebook one of these days. I was very glad to meet your characters at the house-party, even if mine didn't actually play together with yours.

    1. Thanks! The garden is the result of 33 years of trial and error finding the right perennials that will thrive with minimal help.

The house party was wonderful as always. I'm glad you got to try it. Just think, next time, you'll be a vet. ; )

  3. Love all the colours in the flowers, but the hydrangeas and lillies are my favorites.

  4. Gorgeous! Especially the lilies, I don't see those around here very often.
    Are the cicadas out yet?

    1. Oh, yes! They're sawing away in the trees as I type.

  6. Never!
At least, I never did during summers in Turkey, and that's what it reminds me of now...

    1. We have cicadas *and* June bugs that sound a lot like them. One saws during the day and the other in the evening. ; )

    1. Thanks, Charlotte. That's one of the advantages of setting your story in your own neighborhood. You know what blooms when. ; )

  8. Zan, the flower photos are magnificent, and I always enjoy your blog entries. Sorry I don't respond more often to your comments on my blog, or to your blog, but time is at an absolute minimum right now. HAVE A HAPPY SUMMER ! Joann
