Since I've written so much in the last week, I thought I'd give you a glimpse into Laura Grace's summer garden. All of these just finished blooming, are blooming now, or will be shortly. I've also added a bit of shade for the hot summer days. Enjoy! ; )

The lilies are _amazing_! Glad you had fun at the house party, and thanks for sharing these lovely photos! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks. I love lilies. Stick their bulbs in the ground and with a little water and fertilizer, they are show stoppers year after year. ; )
DeleteSo pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sarah!
DeleteYou have a lovely garden! Mine is more of a wilderness, crossed with victory garden. I'll post pics on facebook one of these days. I was very glad to meet your characters at the house-party, even if mine didn't actually play together with yours.

Thanks! The garden is the result of 33 years of trial and error finding the right perennials that will thrive with minimal help.
DeleteThe house party was wonderful as always. I'm glad you got to try it. Just think, next time, you'll be a vet. ; )
Love all the colours in the flowers, but the hydrangeas and lillies are my favorites.
ReplyDeleteThanks! The hydrangeas are one of the showstoppers in the yard right now. ; )
DeleteGorgeous! Especially the lilies, I don't see those around here very often.
ReplyDeleteAre the cicadas out yet?
Oh, yes! They're sawing away in the trees as I type.
DeleteAww, I love that sound. Still too cold around here :-(
ReplyDeleteWell, you might get tired of them after days on end. ; )
DeleteNever!
ReplyDeleteAt least, I never did during summers in Turkey, and that's what it reminds me of now...
We have cicadas *and* June bugs that sound a lot like them. One saws during the day and the other in the evening. ; )
DeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteThe garden is so beautiful. My favorite is the cherry tree. What fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Charlotte. That's one of the advantages of setting your story in your own neighborhood. You know what blooms when. ; )
DeleteZan, the flower photos are magnificent, and I always enjoy your blog entries. Sorry I don't respond more often to your comments on my blog, or to your blog, but time is at an absolute minimum right now. HAVE A HAPPY SUMMER ! Joann
