I always tell the well-meaning people who ask if I'm done yet, that while we eat books like popcorn, the process looks like this:
1- buy the farm
2- purchase seed, fertilizer, farming tools
3- plow the fields
4- plant the fields
5- irrigate the fields
6- weed
7- weed again
8- weed once again
9- harvest
10- process the kernels
11- send to the stores
Now, you can read the book.
J. K. Rowling is much more eloquent.
Next Week: IWSG
LOL! That is a perfect description of the process.
ReplyDeleteI love using it for the perennial question..."When will your book be done?"
Delete;-)
Oh yes... It takes way longer than anyone can ever imagine.
ReplyDeleteI know! That's why I love my popcorn analogy. They back off for a week before they ask again. LOL!
DeleteI hadn't heard that analogy before, it's a great one! Hmm, now I'd like some popcorn...
ReplyDeleteWell, it's my own special analogy, Deniz. Glad you like it. You're on your own on the popcorn. ;-)
DeleteLove this, especially because popcorn is one of my favorite foods ever!
ReplyDelete:-D
DeleteSo true!!! And it makes me feel a little better for weeding just one more time....
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! Weed away!
DeleteI think you might have missed a weeding...or two...or three.
ReplyDelete:-D I know the feeling, Rose.
