Don't you love my new mug? ; ) It's one of those little things that make writing more fun. You know we all have such. Maybe yours isn't a mug, but what about a special pen, notebook, or journal? We all have little rituals and items we use to help us create. Did you notice the tea bag? It's special, too. Twinings Irish Breakfast Tea. By the way, the mug is available at Exclusive Writer Gifts.
And you guessed it--I have a special pen, too. In fact, I find writing with anything else to be nearly impossible. I buy the pens two dozen at a time since I draft long hand.
What are your rituals, special tools, favorite pens?
You just might share a new one that we all have to have. ; )
There's only one kind of pen and one kind of notebook that I like to use. I know I'm really picky, paper is paper right? No. Definitely not.
ReplyDeleteLove the mug!
Yep! You're absolutely correct!
DeleteVery cute mug!
ReplyDeleteAs for rituals, I like to light a candle before I get started. I don't always _have_ to do this, but there's just something about it that gets me in the writing frame of mind...
Whatever works, Lara! I can't stand the candle smoke or the match, so that's out for me. ; )
DeleteI need to get me a mug like that. I go through pens too quickly. I'm rather partial to my handy dandy whiteboard though. (Fine tip markers only for maximum benefit.)
ReplyDeleteAnd I tagged you for the Versatile Blogger Award. If you're interested in participating stop by my blog for the details.

ReplyDeleteOh yes, I've blogged about my pens before - I haven't used anything other than a Pilot G-Tec C4 in years. And I've gotta have a new notebook for a new project. I love stationery shopping. Yum yum!
You said it! When I retired from teaching, my sister bought me a big box of thick ivory stationery embossed with my initals and my address on the back flap of the envelopes. How I've loved that gift!
DeleteLove the mug! I don't have anything yet that I'm partial to. I'm still trying to figure it out. Although since I switched to a computer, I much prefer that to pen and paper.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you can compose on computer. I can't...and not from want of trying.
DeleteI buy notebooks with designs on them that I like, and I love special mugs. I am going to have to check out that website for more writer stuff!
ReplyDeleteGreat blog!
Andrea
