~~I've decided that this weekend is the best ever. I mean it. ; ) It started on Saturday with the mail. I received my official notice that I'm a nominee for Georgia Author of the Year. The GAYA is the oldest literary award in the Southeast and the Georgia Writers Association administers it. Go to www.georgiawriters.org for more info.
~~Sunday morning brought the Times-Georgian to my door with the article that Spencer Crawford wrote about my books and my journey in writing. He does such a great job helping members of CCWC promote their work. Here's a link to the article-- "Author uses religion as a foundation for her writing."
~~All I can say is, a few more weekends like this one would be more than I could stand--NOT! ; )
Wow! Zan Marie, that is awesome!!!! I know, it's exclamation highway, but I can't help it--I'm so happy for you!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tara. I'm walking in the clouds today, but I know I have a lot of work to do of my other projects. The awards are announced in June. That's a long way away. ; )
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Zan Marie! What great news! Guess there's no way for us to vote on your award? :-)
ReplyDeleteAlas, no. ; ) I'll just have to wait and see. The funny thing is that they haven't had the inspirational genre as an award before. That means it's either going to be only a few nominees or there's lots. Cross your fingers. ; )
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! My brother sent me a copy of the article in the Villa Rican, and I was so pleased to see how well you're doing. It couldn't have happened to a nicer person.
